Indianapolis Star-USA TODAY NETW

Caitlin Clark is set to make her WNBA debut soon after taking the world of college basketball by storm. But before her first game soon, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star has gotten her first taste of action during the Indiana Fever’s training camp for the upcoming season.

Clark first made a name for herself when she ended up as the top high school prospect of 2020. While she initially committed to Notre Dame, the future Fever star changed her mind and chose to play for Iowa instead. Right from the get-go, Clark made herself known by averaging 27.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in her first NCAA Tournament in 2021.

In her final year, Clark transcended the game by beating Pete Maravich’s old record . As a result, the former Hawkeyes star is now the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer. On the flip side, though, her legendary season came to an unfortunate end when Iowa fell to the South Carolina Gamecocks and lost the championship match to them.

Shortly after her final year in Iowa, Clark went first in the 2024 WNBA Draft when the Indiana Fever selected her. She joins Kamilla Cardoso, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink in a loaded class filled with potential stars that can carry the league for years to come.

WNBA Star Caitlin Clark Drops Honest Take on Indiana Fever Training Camp

Weeks after being selected by Indiana, Clark has started to work with the Fever in preparation for the upcoming season. In a video that popped up on her team’s official Instagram account:

As it stands, Clark is projected to land the starting point guard role for the Fever this season. With her ability to create plays for others, drain shots from anywhere on the floor, and facilitate the offense, it only makes sense for the Hawkeyes star to familiarize herself first via a training camp.

Clark is set to make her WNBA debut for the Fever on May 14 against the Dallas Wings. For sure, a lot of eyes will be on her to see if she could make the jump to the pros without a hitch.
