Wrestling veteran Chris Hero will compete for the first time in years next month at an event for West Coast Pro Wrestling.

Hero is a veteran of the ring who has competed in dozens of promotions, including WWE where he worked under the name Kassius Ohno. Hero's most recent match saw him take part in an NXT UK battle royale in March 2020. His most recent singles match saw the 'Knockout Artist' defeat Kenny Williams at an NXT UK taping earlier that same month.

A Hero's Return

During last night's West Coast Pro Wrestling event, Timothy Thatcher faced JT Thorne. After the bout, Thatcher continued to attack Thorne, resulting in Hero making the save. Thatcher initially left the ring but then attacked Hero from behind.

Hero recovered and told Thatcher that if he wanted to take advantage of someone, he’d give him something to take advantage of. Hero asked Thatcher if he had any plans for November 17, the date of West Coast Pro's Whiplash event. Hero said that Thatcher wouldn't be facing Chris Hero the promotion's matchmaker, but the Knockout Artist.

Chris Hero Out of the Ring

While Hero has not wrestled in over three years, the veteran has remained active in the wrestling business. Hero signed a contract with AEW earlier this year, where he has been working as a producer. Tony Khan has also said that he is " chipping away" at getting a match from the veteran. Earlier this year, Hero made it clear that he wasn't retired from in-ring competition.
