Former WWE Star Working as a Full-Time AEW Producer

AEW has made another full-time hire as they continue to grow during an exciting time in company history with the recent launch of Collision and the upcoming All In event that will be the biggest event in AEW history with over 75,000 seats already sold from Wembley Stadium.

They’ve also brought in a former WWE star to work as a producer, and that star is Chris Hero, who first made a name for himself on the independent wrestling scene.

He found success in ROH before going to WWE with his stint from 2011-2013. He returned in 2016 for his second run, where he was used in NXT in addition to working for the NXT UK brand before being released in April 2020 due to budget cuts. He hasn't wrestled since.

Pwinsider reports Hero is now officially on board full-time as a producer for AEW and has gotten high marks from those they've spoken with.

AEW President Tony Khan previously responded to a fan on Twitter that he is chipping away at convincing Hero to wrestle again.

As previously reported, another former WWE star got a shot at being a producer at Wednesday’s Dynamite.
