Could the horror movie icon Leatherface make his AEW Dynamite debut this Wednesday? It's possible.

This week's AEW Dynamite will see Jeff Jarrett face Jeff Hardy in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre Death Match, in a sponsorship between AEW and Sumo Digital, the developers of the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game. Speaking on his My World podcast, Jarrett shared his excitement for the upcoming match.

"It is absolutely a very cool integration with the game coming out in just a few days. It's a very cool deal. Everybody has heard of 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre,' but coming out in a video game form [is very exciting.]"

Speaking about Leatherface, Jarrett alluded to the character's involvement with the match.

"Rumor has it that Leatherface is gonna be involved."

The WWE Hall of Famer added that AEW fans were about to witness "the real Leatherface" and not a knock-off version of the character. Interestingly, a wrestler named Rick Taras wrestled as Leatherface during the 1990s in Japan but hasn't competed since 2011 following a Hardcore match loss to Super Crazy.

This Week's AEW Dynamite

This week's AEW Dynamite will see Tony Khan's first promotion continue the build to the much-anticipated AEW All In pay-per-view. The show will see Wheeler Yuta challenge his former mentor AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy. Cassidy recently broke the record for the most championship defenses in the history of AEW.

Britt Baker will face The Bunny in an All In Women's Championship qualifier, while The Young Bucks will take on The Gunns. Kenny Omega will be interviewed by Jim Ross about his plans for AEW All In while Chris Jericho will share whether he's decided to join Don Callis' family.
