WWE WrestleMania 40 Gimmick Match Now Expected
WWE

The card for next week’s WrestleMania 40 is filling, but look for WWE to add a gimmick match with a theme related to Philly.

By now, WWE has completed most of the WrestleMania 40 card for both nights. There will likely be changes made, like teams begin switched-out of the in Tag Team Ladder Match. Also, WWE might add a few more matches. According to Dave Meltzer , a six person Philadelphia Street will be added to the already large two night card. It will be The Street Profits & Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain. “The only match unannounced was made obvious Friday, with The Street Profits & Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain,” said Meltzer. “As of last week, it was booked to be billed as a Philadelphia Street Fight.”

We All Saw Match Coming

The match should come as no surprise. Both groups have been feuding for months, with neither side making much progress and the fans do not seem invested. The Street Profits were eliminated from the tag team ladder match on SmackDown and Bobby Lashley seems stuck with the duo.

At least, Lashley will get a match this year at WrestleMania. He was going to wrestle Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 39, but an illness prevented the bout from happening. Instead, Lashley won the André the Giant Battle Royal on the SmackDown 24 hours before WrestleMania. Kross has been working with The Authors of Pain for a few months, but again, it is not going too well.

Do not be surprised if WWE makes more changes up until the show. Most of the action will confirmed, but they might save a surprise or two for the fans. Honestly, the six person tag does not interest me because their program has been boring. It has not elevated anyone. Hopefully, the Philly Street Fight stipulation can save the match. So, thoughts on the yet to be confirmed WWE WrestleMania 40 gimmick match?
